The BT24 is now ready for production and is a good-looking car. This has been added to the site and the colour changed as part of the ongoing update of the site.

Really glad to see some 1960s F1 cars in production. Can you tell us a little bit more as to what a buyer will receive in the kits OR what parts they will need to buy in order to complete a model please?

For instance:
Chassis... are we talking Penelope Pitlane?
Are decals supplied?
What's the packing like?
What amount of finishing is required before painting?
Are mounting posts moulded into the body?
Do you offer any advice to the nearest colour match when buying Halfords spray cans?

Wishing this venture much success!

Abbo,
Good questions and some things you raise we are still working on. The kits include the basic resin body and screen, white metal exhaust and intake manifolds where appropriate, wheel inserts, a seat and separate mounting posts. The BT 24 can use a PP chassis but I have not yet tried this for the Honda (next project). Gears are probably best sourced from Ranch Design and wheels from BWA although NSR classic wheels and tyres also work. Axles and slot guides for my builds are Pendle and Slot it. Motors are as per your taste but mine are built around yellow can scaleauto motorbike type motors. Despatch is via Steve Francis and he has extensive experience of packing models for both UK and abroad. For these models a good scrub with an old toothbrush in detergent to clean the release agent is advised, but they take Halfords grey primer in light coats very well. The Honda was air brushed with thinned Humbrol white and the BT24 is starting with Halfords BRG, then gold over. Currently decals are not supplied, but for the Honda red centre stripes and hamburgers are now available on request (no charge initially). Other decals such as numbers and badges can be easily obtained via a number of other suppliers of 1/32 accessories eg Pendle slot and RSS. These cars had few decals which is part of the appeal.

Hope that helps
Mel

Got my BT24 a few days ago. Very nicely detailed. The white metal exhausts are superb. Thanks for expanding the line!
